Got 6 episodes to watch, am considering watching them all in one hit this weekend.

Seen the first series twice and will be chuffed if it's as good as that.

I actually think it's better than the wire which I love.

Re: Gomorrah
Brilliant series. It's so gripping you forget you're even watching it in subtitles. The fact it's in Italian makes it all the more genuine. On the 3rd episode....looking forward to Don Pietro coming back and kicking some stugots.

Re: Gomorrah
It's not in italian, it's in strict "napoli" dialect and it is also subtitled in Italy.

Re: Gomorrah
All the same to us Italian, next you'll be telling us the Spanish have a different language to the Catalans!! ;o)

Re: Gomorrah
Catalan is closer to spanish-castillan than any southern Italy dialect is to italian where dialects are a whole different language.
However if you think it's the same with english in different UK area it's alright.

Re: Gomorrah
It sounds like a tough language to follow. Not suggesting I know any Italian but when you listen to what they say compared to the English translation they are absolutely nothing alike. Whereas some words you familiarise between the two this indeed sounds like it's own dialect (which you have confirmed it is)

It's a lot better than the film. First season was one of the best series I've seen, up there with The Wire. Second season started a little slowly but is coming along nicely. Definitely worth a watch.

Sensational stuff. although different to the first season. I like having the subs, means you don't miss anything, half the time I can't hear what they are mumbling on normal stuff.

Re: Gomorrah
Just put down season 3. Won't give anything away ref storyline, but imo it isn't 'quite' as good as the previous 2, maybe because Don Pietro was no more, but still very fucking good. Any thoughts?

Season 4 on the way apparently.
